New Harbor Analytics is the data and analytics arm of the New Harbor family of companies, founded to address the growing need for accessible, accurate, and actionable data in the affordable housing industry. Our flagship platform, Compass, provides developers, investors, and housing professionals with comprehensive tools for income limit analysis, Qualified Census Tract (QCT) and Difficult Development Area (DDA) mapping, and site selection.
Built by affordable housing professionals for affordable housing professionals, our tools reflect real-world development needs and incorporate the insights gained from years of hands-on experience in Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) development.
New Harbor Development
New Harbor Development, LLC is a capacity-building, Maryland Department of Transportation-certified Minority Business Enterprise (Cert # 16-639) that specializes in developing affordable housing using Low Income Housing Tax Credits. Our business model is based on partnerships and strategic joint ventures, which enable us to assemble teams that are well-suited to support the success of each development. Since our founding in 2016, we have secured site control and competitive financing to build a development pipeline of over 600 units.

Our Team
Michael Font
President & Founder, New Harbor Development
Michael Font is the President and Founder of New Harbor Development. Michael is a skilled real estate developer with expertise in Low Income Housing Tax Credits. With over 10 years of experience in the affordable housing industry, Michael has developed his skills through roles in the non-profit sector at the National Affordable Housing Trust, a tax credit syndicator, and Homes for America, a premier developer/owner.
In these positions, Michael gained the knowledge and experience to take projects from concept to completion, and he hopes to use these skills to help similarly aligned organizations achieve their missions and create high-quality affordable housing communities. Michael's extensive development knowledge enables him to successfully manage complex development projects, making him an invaluable member of any development team.
Michael received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Dartmouth College, and he currently serves on the Board of Directors for St. Mary's Housing Corporation and the Maryland Affordable Housing Coalition.
Jonathan Font
President & Co-founder, New Harbor Analytics
Jonathan Font joined New Harbor Development in 2023 as a partner, bringing his extensive experience in finance and computer science to the company. Prior to joining New Harbor, Jon was a principal at Blackstone serving as a junior portfolio manager focused on energy infrastructure. His background in finance and technology enables him to provide valuable insights and contribute to the data-driven approach of the New Harbor venture.
Alongside Michael, Jon co-founded New Harbor Analytics, where he currently serves as President. His expertise in data analytics and software development led to the creation of Compass, providing the affordable housing industry with powerful, user-friendly tools for site analysis and development planning.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from The Wharton School, and a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from University of Pennsylvania's School of Engineering.
